Concordia Hospital

Concordia Hospital

Our History

Concordia Hospital was founded in 1928, just over 75 years ago. The Foundation was incorporated as a registered charity in 1975.Concordia Place, a recently constructed 140 bed Personal Care Home, became operational in 2000.

Concordia Hospital and the Concordia Hospital Foundation are each governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Mennonite Benevolent Society is the founding body for Concordia Hospital, and by extension, the Foundation.

Over 1,150 employees and 180 volunteers serve Concordia Hospital and Concordia Place, while the Foundation has two employees (an Executive Assistant and a Chief Operating Officer). Concordia volunteers graciously give of themselves as they help us carry out Concordia's mission - care, services and fundraising activities of benefit to our patients and residents.
