\u2018I had to pay, like everybody else\u2018: Mama June reveals her weight loss surgeries came out of her own pocket<\/p>\n
She\u2018s undergoing a massive transformation in her new show Mama June: From Not to Hot which has already shown her shedding 150 pounds.<\/p>\n
And rather surprisingly, \u2018Mama June\u2018 Shannon has revealed that she had to pay for the gastric sleeve surgery and excess skin removal surgeries herself.<\/p>\n
\u2018I had to pay, just like everybody else,\u2018 the reality matriarch said on the \u00a0Show last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018[The surgery] was going to happen whether I had them or not.\u2018 she added, denying that WeTV or the From Not to Hot production company paid for the operations.<\/p>\n
\u2018If you get the skin removal surgery done without anything before, you\u2019re liable to have to spend your money and do it again.\u2018<\/p>\n
June, 37, also had a tummy tuck and breast lift but says that she doesn\u2018t want any more surgeries.<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019m definitely not going to have any more.\u2018<\/p>\n
June did say however that she would be supportive of her daughters if they wanted to have plastic surgery.<\/p>\n
When asked whether she would encourage her daughters to do the same, Shannon replied: \u00a0\u2018If it would make them confident, yes, I would recommend surgery. You have to do your research, definitely, and that\u2019s what got me into the gastric sleeve. That helps you lose as much weight as possible.\u2018<\/p>\n
\u2018I do encourage them to , but they\u2019re teenagers,\u2018 the former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star added.<\/p>\n
Mama June also confessed that the weight loss was, in part, a byproduct of a revenge diet after she learned that her ex Sugar Bear was getting married.<\/p>\n
In the same interview June denied reports that she wore a fat suit to conceal her weight loss during the filming of the show.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Viewers took to Twitter to accuse her of wearing a fat show to over-emphasize her weight loss, but the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star rebuffed the reports on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
One Twitter user \u2013 among many \u2013 wrote: \u2018 nice special effects makeup on mama June. She has on a fake double chin and cheeks. It\u2018s edges are coming up around her mouth. #fake (sic)\u2018\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018Definitely not a fat suit,\u2018 \u00a0Mama June said on the radio show, \u2018I was fat!\u2018\u00a0<\/p>\n
June is mother to 11-year-old Alana (Honey Boo Boo), Anna, 22, Jessica, 20, and Lauryn \u2018Pumpkin\u2018 Shannon, 17.<\/p>\n
