But it seems property developer Pettifleur Berenger has worked hard to claw her way back to the top!<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to\u00a0New Idea<\/em>, a source reveals the 56-year-old had been \u201cbegging\u201d\u00a0I\u2019m A Celeb<\/em>\u00a0producers for a spot in the jungle for years to relaunch herself after\u00a0RHOM.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cFor so long, Gina was the queen of Melbourne and reality TV … with Pettifleur always in the shadows. But now\u00a0I\u2019m A Celeb<\/em>\u00a0… has pushed her ahead of Gina in the race,\u201d says the source, who insists the cherry on top has been\u00a0RHOM\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0filming delay, with Victoria\u2019s recent COVID-19 restrictions putting a hold on the upcoming season.<\/p>\n Pettifleur (pictured) apparently begged for a spot in the jungle in order to relaunch her career.<\/p>\n \u201cThe show has not been on air in two years, that has to hurt,\u201d quips the source. \u201cFor years Pettifleur let producers know she was available \u2026 she planned to be mentally and physically strong, just in case she ever got the call, and has been keeping fit in anticipation.\u201d<\/p>\n Interestingly, the source insists it was, in fact, her on-screen nemesis who\u00a0Network 10<\/em>\u00a0originally wanted for the show.<\/p>\n \u201cGina\u2019s the superstar and fan favourite, and was always the housewife on top of their wish list. But she has always decided it\u2019s not her thing and turned it down.<\/p>\n Even though Pettifleur is sure to be happy to have secured a spot in the jungle, the\u00a0Real Housewives<\/em>\u00a0star may have been better off staying on the other side of the camera.<\/p>\n We\u2019re only two weeks into\u00a0I\u2019m A Celeb<\/em>\u00a0and Pettifleur has already ruffled many feathers around the camp – particularly when it comes to\u00a0Australia\u2019s Got Talent<\/em>\u00a0winner Jack Vidgen.<\/p>\n On Tuesday\u2019s episode of the reality show, Pettifleur heatedly berated the 23-year-old for his lacklustre effort at washing the dishes.<\/p>\n \u201cYou need to actually scrub the pots,\u201d the 56-year-old told the singer, \u201cI can smell the egg in my porridge from yesterday\u201d.<\/p>\n After the reprimanding, an irritated Jack vented his frustrations with Pettifleur to fellow\u00a0I’m A Celeb<\/em>\u00a0contestants\u00a0Grant Denyer, Toni Pearen and Colin Fassnidge.<\/p>\n \u201cThat really pissed me of,\u201d the singer said, \u201cI do it everyday which I\u2019ve actually been loving with Paulini and it\u2019s just like, really?\u201d.<\/p>\n Speaking to the camera, Jack continued his venting, \u201cYou want to come up to me and gag and go, you haven\u2019t done a good enough job. You can wash the dishes then!\u201d.<\/p>\n Yikes!
