Dr. Rezaul Karim

Dr. Rezaul Karim is a senior consultant cardiologist at Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, one of Bangladesh's premier private hospitals operating under the Apollo Hospitals Group. With 18 years of clinical experience in cardiology, he is among Dhaka's most experienced interventional cardiologists, managing a high volume of coronary artery disease in a country with one of South Asia's highest burdens of cardiovascular risk.

Dr. Karim completed his medical training at Dhaka Medical College, one of Bangladesh's oldest and most respected institutions, before obtaining his MD in Cardiology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, UK), reflecting his commitment to international training standards.

He completed advanced training in interventional cardiology and echocardiography through workshops and courses affiliated with the Bangladesh Cardiac Society and the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology. Dr. Karim's practice covers the full range of adult cardiology, with particular expertise in coronary artery disease and echocardiographic assessment. He performs coronary angiography and PCI for both acute and elective presentations, including complex lesion subsets.

His echocardiography practice provides comprehensive transthoracic and limited stress echocardiography for assessment of ventricular function, valvular heart disease, pericardial disease, and cardiomyopathies. He also performs treadmill exercise stress testing and pharmacological stress testing.
