Dr. Tamar Jgenti

Dr. Tamar Jgenti is a pulmonologist at Tbilisi National Medical Centre, one of Georgia's leading clinical facilities. With 12 years of experience, she has developed expertise across a broad spectrum of respiratory conditions, with particular emphasis on tuberculosis management — a persistent public health challenge in the South Caucasus region. Georgia has one of the higher TB notification rates in the WHO European Region, and Dr. Jgenti has WHO certification in TB management and experience with MDR-TB (multidrug-resistant tuberculosis) treatment protocols. She also manages COPD, asthma, pneumonia, and sleep-disordered breathing. She is multilingual in Georgian, Russian, and English, enabling her to serve diverse patient populations in Tbilisi.

Dr. Jgenti completed her MD at Tbilisi State Medical University and specialist training in pulmonology.
