About Dr. Alexiou
Dr. Konstantinos Alexiou is a medical oncologist and hematologist at AHEPA University Hospital in Thessaloniki, one of Greece's premier academic medical centers and the primary tertiary referral hospital for northern Greece. With 18 years of clinical experience, he has developed expertise in hematologic malignancies and solid tumor oncology.
He completed a hematology and oncology fellowship at the University College London Cancer Institute, one of the UK's leading cancer research centers. This fellowship gave him comprehensive training in lymphoma, leukemia, and novel targeted therapies including monoclonal antibodies and kinase inhibitors.
Dr. Alexiou returned to Thessaloniki where he established the AHEPA Hospital's lymphoma multidisciplinary team and has been a principal investigator in several international clinical trials. Greece's Thessaloniki-based oncology community is notably strong, and AHEPA serves patients from northern Greece, Cyprus, and neighboring Balkan countries.
