Dr. Andi Prasetyo

Dr. Andi Prasetyo is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Siloam Hospitals Kebon Jeruk in Jakarta — one of Indonesia's leading private hospital networks with internationally accredited facilities. He completed advanced endoscopy fellowship training including ERCP and EUS at a major Japanese gastroenterology centre, and holds FASGE (Fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy).

Dr. Prasetyo performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy including banding of oesophageal varices for cirrhotic patients, management of GERD and Barrett's oesophagus, and endoscopic haemostasis for bleeding peptic ulcers. Colonoscopy is performed for colorectal polyp detection, polypectomy, and colorectal cancer staging. ERCP is performed for gallstone removal, biliary stricture management, and pancreatic duct disease. EUS is used for staging of oesophageal, gastric, and pancreatic tumours, and for tissue sampling by fine needle aspiration (FNA).

In hepatology, he manages chronic hepatitis B with tenofovir or entecavir, hepatitis C with direct-acting antiviral regimens, and cirrhosis complications including ascites management, spontaneous bacterial peritonitis, and variceal bleeding.
