Dr. Nakamura Yuki

Dr. Nakamura Yuki is a consultant obstetrician, gynaecologist, and reproductive medicine specialist at Keio University Hospital, one of Tokyo's leading private university teaching hospitals. With 17 years of experience, she brings expertise across reproductive medicine, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and gynecologic oncology.

Dr. Nakamura trained at Keio University School of Medicine and completed her OB-GYN residency and reproductive medicine fellowship at Keio University Hospital. She subsequently undertook additional training in gynecologic laparoscopy and fertility-sparing oncologic surgery at centres in Europe.

Her clinical practice reflects two major areas: supporting patients with infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss through evidence-based reproductive medicine including IVF and fertility preservation; and providing surgical management of gynecologic conditions including endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian tumours, and early-stage gynecologic cancers using minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Nakamura is particularly committed to fertility preservation in young women diagnosed with gynecologic malignancies, collaborating with the oncology and reproductive medicine teams to offer fertility-sparing surgery and oocyte cryopreservation prior to chemotherapy or radiotherapy where clinically appropriate.

Dr. Nakamura earned her MD from Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo. She completed her OB-GYN residency at Keio University Hospital, followed by a reproductive medicine fellowship.

She undertook advanced laparoscopic surgery training at the IRCAD training institute in Strasbourg, France, one of the world's premier centres for minimally invasive surgical training, and completed an observership in fertility-sparing gynecologic oncology at Institut Gustave Roussy, Paris.

Dr. Nakamura is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds a subspecialty certificate in Reproductive Medicine from the Japan Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Nakamura's reproductive medicine practice offers full IVF and embryology services, including ICSI, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A and PGT-M), donor oocyte IVF, and fertility preservation via oocyte and embryo cryopreservation. She manages patients with unexplained infertility, diminished ovarian reserve, recurrent implantation failure, and recurrent pregnancy loss.

In gynecologic surgery, she performs total laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic myomectomy, endometriosis surgery including deep infiltrating endometriosis, ovarian cystectomy, and staging surgery for early ovarian and cervical cancer. She takes a fertility-sparing approach wherever oncologically safe.

Her general OB-GYN practice includes prenatal care, well-woman examinations, cervical cancer screening, and perimenopause management.

Dr. Nakamura has published research in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine and the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Her research interests include IVF outcomes in patients with endometriosis, fertility preservation in gynecologic oncology, and quality-of-life outcomes after laparoscopic surgery for deep endometriosis.

She has presented at the Japan Society for Reproductive Medicine Annual Meeting and the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS) World Congress. She participates in the Keio University Department of OB-GYN's clinical research group and supervises junior residents in research projects.

Dr. Nakamura sees international patients at Keio University Hospital, which has an international patient clinic providing English-language services. She consults in Japanese and English, and certified medical interpreters are available for other languages.
