Dr. Fatima Al-Rashidi

Dr. Fatima Al-Rashidi is a senior consultant paediatrician and allergy specialist at Al-Amiri Hospital in Kuwait City — one of Kuwait's leading government hospitals, operated by the Ministry of Health. With 17 years of experience and sub-specialist training in paediatric allergy and immunology at the Mayo Clinic in the United States, she offers a high level of specialised paediatric care. Kuwait has one of the highest childhood asthma and food allergy prevalence rates in the Gulf region, driven by genetic factors and a rapidly westernising diet, and these conditions form the core of Dr. Al-Rashidi's sub-specialty practice. Dr. Al-Rashidi's expertise spans general paediatrics and sub-specialist paediatric allergy-immunology. In general paediatrics she manages neonatal conditions including jaundice and respiratory distress, childhood infections, developmental issues, and vaccine-preventable disease. Her allergy practice covers the full scope: IgE-mediated food allergy (including peanut, tree nut, egg, and milk allergy), allergic rhinitis, asthma (mild to severe), atopic eczema, insect venom allergy, and drug allergy. She performs skin prick testing, specific IgE testing, and supervised oral food challenges. For eligible patients, she initiates subcutaneous and sublingual allergen immunotherapy.
