Dr. André Schmit

Dr. André Schmit is a consultant urologist at Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) — Luxembourg's largest hospital and the primary centre for urological care in the Grand Duchy. With 15 years of clinical experience, he is one of Luxembourg's most experienced urologists, managing the full spectrum of urological disease with particular expertise in urological oncology and minimally invasive surgery.

For bladder cancer, he performs diagnostic cystoscopy, TURBT (transurethral resection of bladder tumour), and coordinates intravesical BCG and chemotherapy for non-muscle-invasive disease.

For benign prostatic hyperplasia, he manages medical therapy (alpha-blockers, 5-ARI) and performs TURP, laser prostatectomy, and Urolift procedures. For stone disease, he performs ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy and ESWL. He also manages urinary incontinence with pelvic floor physiotherapy referral and surgical correction when indicated.
