Dr. Noraini Binti Ibrahim

Dr. Noraini Binti Ibrahim is a consultant obstetrician, gynaecologist, and reproductive medicine specialist at Sunway Medical Centre, one of Malaysia's premier private hospitals in the Klang Valley region. With 17 years of clinical experience, she has developed a comprehensive practice encompassing fertility treatment, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and high-risk obstetrics.

After completing her undergraduate medical training at the University of Malaya, Dr. Noraini obtained her MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and underwent advanced subspecialty training in reproductive medicine, including IVF techniques, at a leading fertility centre in the United Kingdom.

She returned to Malaysia and established Sunway Medical Centre's reproductive medicine program, which has grown to offer a full range of assisted reproductive technologies including in vitro fertilisation (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo freezing, and fertility preservation. Dr. Noraini treats both local and international couples with infertility, and is particularly experienced in managing patients who have had multiple failed IVF cycles elsewhere.

Her gynecological surgery practice focuses on minimally invasive techniques, offering laparoscopic and hysteroscopic approaches to conditions including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and ovarian cysts, with the goal of preserving fertility wherever possible.

Dr. Noraini Binti Ibrahim graduated with an MBBS from the University of Malaya and completed her obstetrics and gynaecology residency at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She subsequently obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG, UK).

She completed her subspecialty fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at the Lister Fertility Clinic, London, and the CARE Fertility network, acquiring advanced competency in IVF laboratory science, embryology interpretation, and complex ovarian stimulation protocols.

Dr. Noraini holds the Subspecialty Certificate in Reproductive Medicine from the Malaysian Medical Council and is an accredited IVF specialist with the Fertility Society of Malaysia.

Dr. Noraini's reproductive medicine practice covers the full spectrum of fertility investigation and treatment, including ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), IVF, ICSI, donor egg IVF, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), and fertility preservation via oocyte cryopreservation for medical and elective reasons.

In gynecologic surgery, she specializes in laparoscopic management of endometriosis (including deep infiltrating endometriosis), laparoscopic and hysteroscopic myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, and total laparoscopic hysterectomy.
