Dr. Aminath Siyama

Dr. Aminath Siyama is an obstetrician and gynaecologist at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Male, providing comprehensive women's health services for Maldivian women, expatriate residents, and the country's large tourism-sector workforce. With 11 years of experience, she manages the full range of obstetric and gynecological conditions presenting to IGMH — the Maldives' main public referral hospital.

Dr. Aminath completed her medical training abroad (Sri Lanka or India) and holds MRCOG (UK) from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, reflecting international training standards. She subsequently obtained the MRCOG (Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK) — one of the most demanding international qualifications in obstetrics and gynaecology, requiring multi-stage examination in clinical science and obstetric practice.

She holds a Diploma in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, reflecting additional training in managing high-risk pregnancies. She maintains continuing education through the Maldives Medical Association, Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology programs, and MRCOG affiliated clinical update courses.

Dr. Aminath provides antenatal care, manages complications including pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes, and performs caesarean sections and normal deliveries.
