Dr. Aminath Siyama

Dr. Aminath Siyama is an obstetrician and gynaecologist at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Malé, providing women's health services for Maldivian women and the country's large expatriate and resort worker population. With 11 years of experience, she manages the full range of obstetric and gynecological conditions in the Maldives.

Dr. Aminath completed her medical training abroad and holds MRCOG (UK), reflecting international training standards. High-risk obstetric cases beyond IGMH's management capacity are referred to Sri Lanka or India. She provides routine and complicated antenatal care, delivers both vaginal and caesarean births, and performs gynecological surgical procedures.

Dr. Aminath completed her MBBS in Sri Lanka or India and obtained MRCOG (UK) from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She holds a Diploma in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and participates in continuing OB-GYN education through Maldives Medical Association and international programs.

Dr. Aminath provides antenatal care, manages complications including pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes, and performs caesarean sections and normal deliveries. Gynecologically, she performs hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, and cervical smear and colposcopy. Complex cases are referred to Sri Lanka or India.

Dr. Aminath participates in Maldives Medical Association continuing education and contributes to maternal health programs in the Maldives. She is focused on clinical OB-GYN practice within the Maldives' small specialist medical sector.

Dr. Aminath sees international patients at IGMH including tourists and resort workers requiring obstetric or gynecological care. She consults in Dhivehi and English. Video consultations are available for prenatal follow-up and second opinions.

Dr. Aminath has been recognized by IGMH for contributions to women's health. She is a member of the Maldives Medical Association and participates in maternal health and safe motherhood programs in the Maldives.
