Dr. Anil Basnet

Dr. Anil Basnet is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu, one of Nepal's leading private hospitals. With 14 years of experience, he manages a broad range of orthopaedic conditions with particular strength in fracture surgery and joint replacement.

Dr. Basnet trained at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan — one of Nepal's most respected medical institutions — before completing his MS in Orthopaedics at the same institution. He undertook a fellowship in joint replacement surgery in India, gaining expertise in total knee and hip arthroplasty techniques applicable to Nepal's growing middle-class patient population with arthritis.

Nepal's terrain and outdoor activity culture create a significant burden of musculoskeletal trauma, and Dr. Basnet manages a high volume of fractures, including complex periarticular and polytrauma cases, at Norvic International Hospital.
