Dr. Carlos Mendez Torres is a highly respected pediatrician with over 18 years of experience in child health, development, and infectious disease management at Hospital del Niño José Renán Esquivel, Panama's foremost tertiary pediatric hospital. With a patient-centered approach rooted in compassion and evidence-based medicine, Dr. Mendez Torres has dedicated his career to improving health outcomes for children across Panama, from urban centers to rural indigenous communities. He is widely recognized for his expertise in pediatric infectious diseases, an area of critical importance in Central America given the high burden of tropical illnesses affecting the region's youngest population.
