CEMIC (Centro de Educación Médica e Investigaciones Clínicas “Norberto Quirno”) was founded in 1958. It is a private non-profit association and a public weal entity with high educational objectives, and over 50 years experience in research and teaching for a better medical care. It was awarded the Platinum Konex Prize in 1998.
CEMIC came into existence by the VISION of its founders, Dr. Norberto Quirno and a group of disciples and friends. As a result of this vision, CEMIC has become a leading institution in the field of health care.True to its style and foundation aims of excellence in TEACHING, RESEARCH and HEALTH CARE, CEMIC distinctive feature consists of training professionals and serving the community.
CEMIC aims at facilitating patient access to its high-quality medical centers.The most prevalent cases, check-ups and routine tests are referred to the outpatient facilities at the Academic Medical Center in Las Heras and Saavedra Headquarters; to the outpatient offices of the following medical centers: Belgrano, Caballito, Monserrat, Palermo, San Isidro, and to the doctors’ private offices and rented centers all over the country.
