The surgery department is considered one of the most important departments in any hospital, since it is where all types of medical surgery conducted (small to large) to save patients, especially those resulting from emergency situations, maturnity, or others. Al-Essra Hospital Surgery department consists of anesthesia physicians, resident surgens, surgery nurses, anesthesia technicians, and recovery nurses. Also, the department contains all the necessary equipments to conduct operations including anesthesia and modern medical surveillance equipments. The emergency department is one of the vitally important sections in Al-Essra Hospital reflecting the true picture of the hospital. The department operates round the clock providing medical and therapeutic services to patients. It comprises of highly qualified doctors, nursing, and administrative staff working efficiently to provide high quality service to patients and exceed their expectation. This department which we cherishe at Al-Essra is consedered one of the most advanced, sophisticated and distinctive emergency departments in Jordan at both public and private level. It contains all the necessary services a patients might need regardless of the condition or injury such as heart and lungs recovery room, surgery room for small operations, maturnity room, orthepidic room, pharmacy, accounting, admission, two halls for men, women and childrens, and a waiting room at the entrance. The maturnity department was the first to be equiped and staffed while other departments was still under preparation. The department consists of three maturnity rooms, two observation rooms, and a recovery room equipped with the latest medical devices. In addition, it includes fourteen rest rooms after childbirth divided into four categories as follow:
Two Suites.
Seven rooms first class.
Three room second class.
Two rooms thired class.
The department is distinguished by introducing the concept of integrated birth in the same place so as performing the whole birth process in one room. Finaly, the department have a reception room equiped with a modern sonar for pregnant women and operations room for a Caesarean section.
We started the operation of the prematurity department since the begining of the hospital operation in 2001. We have chosen a suitable location on the second floor near the children's section and designed for the reception of newly born children prematurly with need for vigorous or moderate medical care.
The department is equiped with many modern devices specializing in caring for prematurly newborns and their critical cases, and weight. The most important device in this department is the incubators and the department is equiped with ten of these incubators, six breathing apparatus, optical processing devices and surveillance equipment to measure heart rate and oxygen. Also, the department is staffed around the clock with highly qualified specialty doctors and highly expreience nurses.
The department have 22 electrical medical beds, fluids organizers, support treatments, and breathing apparatus. Recently, we added ""cardiac echo"" room with its full advanced medical equipments and devices, which help in providing the best diagnostic tool available. As for the medical staff, the department have the top qualified specialts doctotors supported with carefully hand picked nurses from the finest nurses at the hospital because of the difficult cases the department handle.
The Endoscopy department recieves liver and digestive patients for diagnostic and treatment procedures, which includes:
Examining visiually by telescopes the Esophagus, Stomach, Duodenum, and Intestines.
Examining visiually by telescopes the Gall Bladder, Liver, and Pancreas.
Examining visiually by telescopes the whole Colon.
Perform a biopsy during the telescope visiual examination to remove a sample of tissue from the lining of the organ for inspection under the microscop.
Treatment of the varicose esophagus, expansion constrictions of the esophagus, and installing esophageal nets by the telescope.
Appendectomy meaty in the stomach and the colon.
Expansion opening of the Gall Bladder and the Pancreas and taking out of the stones from the channels of the Gall Bladder.
Install nets in tight channels of the Gall Bladder and the Pancreas.
Using the teelescop to stop bleeding of the esophagus, Stomach, Duodenum, and Colon.
Observation and photography of the throat.
Complete observation for the aerial canes.
Cleaning of the aerial canes and the lungs.
Taking diagnostic samples from the canes and the lungs.
In addition the department is prepared and equiped with modern diagnostic devices of the endoscopy observation, devices of the photography, devices of the pulse observation, and oxygen of the blood under the aegis of distinguished nursings and medical staff.

The department offers all diagnosis and treatment procedures for patients. Also, it includes 13 top of the technology device for dialisis. Advanced fetuses nurses (BBD 6220) characterized by self sterilization on temperature 180 centigrade with possibility sterilization of the internal water automatically with 500 centigrade temperature which guarantee free environment of viraus and bacterria. This clean environment increase the chance of fertilization. Each nurse is placed in a seperate room to guarantee seperation, sterlization, or mixing of samples. Also, the department is equiped with microscopic injections devices and advanced microscopes supplied with carrying haydrolics to increase its efficiency. Finaly, the department have advanced Hoffman system that enables to view the third dimension of the sperm head to determine if the sperm is normal or not.
