Almater Hospital is a first class private hospital that was built in 1985. In its 15 years of existence, has been characterized by a constant growth. Currently, Almater has 35 rooms and has plans for further expansion in the near future. Our office will have an interpreter for you and my public relations staff will be in touch with you all the time. Almater Hospital utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and facilities comprising of 4 surgical suites (with recovery room) a Hemodynamic surgical room -where they perform open heart surgery and catheterizations, with a Complete X ray Unit capable of performing CAT Scans, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, and other X-ray tests. Almater Hospital strives to keep updated with equipment of latest generation available. There is a highly efficient and fully equipped emergency room where they strive to make your wait as short as possible.- In Almater Hospital, they have a staff of 12 Doctors and 12 Pediatricians who cover the emergency service room on a permanent basis, so that the waiting times always very brief. They also have a support system of over 60 physicians and specialists that complement the emergency staff, thus guaranteeing that the best course of actions are followed and the strict medical protocols are carried out. There are 48 rooms in the hospitalization area, 8 beds in the Intensive Care Unit, 2 stations at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and other added technologies to cover various medical needs. Rooms each have oxygen and suction installations. Each are appointed as well with television sets and a phone for the patient/s’ comfort and convenience. The pharmacy on site is open 24 hours a day, year round. It is also available for drive thru service. Hospital Almater has plans for further expansion. Almater uses the services of Medical Pathology Laboratories, S.A. (PML), a 24 hours a day 365 days of the year, clinical laboratory of reference, that governs all of its operation on the bases of standards of the American School of Pathologists (CAP). Patient Rooms - Each patient room is a private room with a comfortable sofabed for your companion. The hospital requires that the doctors attend crediting courses and examinations like ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) in addition to every year they credit the hours of continuous medical update necessary to maintain the certification.
