About Alexandra Hospital

1930's to 1971: British Military Hospital After World War II to 1971, British Military Hospital remained as one of the most modern hospitals. Alexandra Hospital embarks on a new journey under a new entity known as Alexandra Health. With the restructuring, Ministry of Health Holdings now has Alexandra Health, presently comprising Alexandra Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), under its purview. A Board of Directors comprising captains of industry from mainly non-healthcare sectors such as hospitality, technology and finance, assumes its responsibility for AH/KTPH. Alexandra Hospital was restructured on 1st October 2000 and became a member of the National Healthcare Group. After a major restructuring in October 2000, its facilities and services have been upgraded to serve patients better. Patients are our priority and we have gone out of our way to improve our environment and to ensure quality and safer medical service. Best practices from other organizations are also adopted to deliver effective and efficient quality service. Alexandra Hospital embarks on a new journey under a new entity known as Alexandra Health.
