Changi General Hospital

Changi General Hospital (CGH) is a 1,000-bed tertiary referral general hospital located in Simei, eastern Singapore. Officially opened on 28 March 1998, CGH was formed from the amalgamation of the former Toa Payoh Hospital (established in 1959 as Thomson Road Hospital) and Changi Hospital, bringing together a combined heritage of community-focused public healthcare spanning nearly seven decades.

CGH is part of SingHealth, Singapore's largest public healthcare cluster, and serves as the primary acute care hospital for the rapidly growing communities in eastern Singapore, including Tampines, Pasir Ris, Bedok, Changi, and Simei. The hospital's catchment population is among the fastest-growing in Singapore, making CGH a vital and expanding institution.

The Changi Sports Medicine Centre (CSMC), Singapore's biggest integrated sports medicine centre in a hospital, offers multi-disciplinary sports medicine services covering sports injury management, rehabilitation, performance enhancement, and cardiac screening for athletes. The Geriatric Centre provides comprehensive elderly care including memory care and falls prevention. CGH's Stroke Service and Wound Healing Centre are recognised as centres of excellence. The Digestive Diseases Centre and the Integrated Sleep Service round out CGH's specialised programme offerings.
