Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)

Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) is Singapore's second largest acute care general hospital, with a history stretching back to 1844. Named after Mr Tan Tock Seng, a Hokkien Chinese philanthropist and prominent merchant who donated funds for its establishment, TTSH has evolved from a small charitable dispensary into one of Southeast Asia's most distinguished tertiary healthcare institutions.

Located at 11 Jalan Tan Tock Seng in the Novena area of central Singapore, TTSH operates more than 1,200 beds and employs over 9,000 healthcare professionals including nurses, specialists, allied health staff, and administrative personnel. The hospital is a member of the National Healthcare Group (NHG), Singapore's second-largest public healthcare cluster, which serves central Singapore.

The hospital's main block contains the Emergency Department, which handles over 400,000 visits annually — among the busiest in Singapore.

ICU facilities include Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU, Neuroscience ICU, and High Dependency Units, with combined critical care capacity exceeding 100 beds. More than 20 operating theatres support elective and emergency procedures including robotic-assisted surgery using the da Vinci platform.

Advanced diagnostic capabilities include 3T MRI, multi-detector CT scanners, PET-CT, digital angiography, and dedicated neuroradiology suites supporting the NNI. TTSH houses Singapore's busiest clinical laboratory service and a comprehensive blood bank.
