About Cape Eye Hospital

The Cape Eye Hospital was Cape Towns first private eye hospital and takes pride in it's dedicated, specially trained staff, advanced state-of-the-art equipment and highly qualified team of experienced ophthalmologists. Established in 1995 by Ophthalmologists.Specialised equipment and specially trained staff are absolutely essential to provide expert and skilled pre and postoperative care.This hospital is conveniently situated in Bellville, Cape Town. It provides comprehensive and specialised eye care services with the latest techniques and equipment.

In 1993 four Bellville located Ophthalmologists, Drs Louis Boezaart, Hubrecht Brody, Johann Slazus and Paul Burger, decided to initialise a joint venture and build the Cape Eye Hospital. This was to be a specialized hospital. Joining forces they were able to afford the most modern technology in Ophthalmology (Eye Diseases, Eye Surgery and Eye Care) A license was obtained in 1994 to establish the Cape Eye Hospital.
